My Morning Coffee

I love good coffee! At my parents we only ever used to have instant and real fresh coffee was what we had at Christmas after dinner (and still do now!). I always keep good coffee to make in my cafetiere in my fridge. I like coffee to be leisurely and take my time, making some and drinking it for ages while I read in the morning. Unfortunately I am caffeine sensitive, so one cup of morning coffee (I can just about push it to 2pm) is all I get, but still it is a wonderful pleasure.

This is my normal morning coffee at home. That was my favourite mug but it is unfortunately no longer with us as it cracked into two pieces!
Yummy after lunch coffee in France. We made a brilliant lunch and then sat in the garden reading with a regular coffee for me and an espresso for RB and ate loads of After Eights.

  1. I could not agree with you more! A cup of coffee first thing in the morning is a requirement for me. Great idea for a post! :)

  2. I love good coffee too! My dad bought me an espresso machine for my 21st a couple of years ago, before that we always had those old style stovetop percolaters (I still love them, even though I love my sunbeam equally). I grew up in a household of coffee snobs lol, so didn't even know what instant coffee was until I was about 14 and had to make coffee at my first job :D I was like 'WHAT IS THIS?!'

  3. Are the espresso machines any good? I was thinking about getting someone one for christmas with a milk heater thingy on. I think they'd really like it and I'd also like them making me Lattes!

  4. Aww I love that you have the tradition to have fresh coffee at Christmas. That is so cute. I love coffee.. 3 times a day! I like to try different ways to make it from recipes online. I had an espresso make and I used to use it EVERY DAY. They are amazing! <3

  6. I am a new comer to coffee. I like cafe au laits right now, and prefer slow drip coffee. But I have a Mokka too.
